"...my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Well said. I like the wisdom you extract from the Bible. I read it and it sounds like words. I try to understand and it escapes me. When you post up just one or two verses at a time, it really opens my eyes. Thanks.
If, I suppose, is the fulcrum point to that scripture. If my people... There's the unspoken consequences too, almost to frightening to consider. If I hear...I'll heal. What if he doesn't hear? There's a scripture I'll begin, but wont conclude. You'll have to look it up for yourself, because frankly, it's kind of scary and offers itself as a counterpoint to your scripture. The nation that forgets God... Fortunately, one man with God, can be a majority.
What a great promise.
ReplyDeleteWell said, Chris.
