Tender New Green

A few minutes along the 3-mile loop, as a preview of those tender new green leaves that will be coming one day soon to my latitude-challenged friends.

  1. "Latitude-challenged friends." As in people in even lower latitudes? I suspect you were referring to our ever-suffering compatriots in the Great Frozen North. On the other hand, they may have been buried in snow and ice so long that they have altogether forgotten how trees sprout leaves if those trees aren't coniferous.

  2. A few weeks away from the frozen north. Arctic front here. But it sure is great to dream.

  3. Just lovely. We're starting to get some color here. It was warmer for a while. As I write this, it's snowing. Yeesh!

  4. Thanks, Pondero, for offering us hope. All the snow and ice is finally gone, and the winter wheat just started to grow again this week. Everything else still dormant, but waiting to burst forth with the next warm spell.

  5. Steve, yes, reference is to our northern friends. I am assuming that low lats are better, but might change my mind around July.
